Bali and Kids
Experiencing the fun at Waterbom Park is one of the best places to visit in Bali. 17 different slides, a swirling Superbowl, aqualoop, water cannons and water bomb battle zone and special kiddie areas make a day at Waterbom a must. Cheap food, massages and much more.
- Bali Tree Top Adventure Park
Set in the coolness of Bedugul Botanical Gardens the Adventure Park is great for all ages. There are Tarzan swings, aerial nets, balancing adventures and zipwires. Ages from 4 and up.
Trained Zoologists accompany you as you explore the different habitats and an aquarium. There are elephant rides and roller-coasters, great educational shows and a small water park if you need a cool off.
White Water Rafting. There are many levels of white water rafting in Bali. The Ayung River (class 3) is tame enough for even little children to enjoy.
- Diving
Starting from 8 years children can learn scuba diving at a PADI Bubblemakers course. There are wrecks around Yulamben to explore, and swimmers can also snorkel on the surface.
- Craft
Ubud is Bali’’s craft centre and courses are offered from woodcarving to silversmithing. These centres also offer painting, batik, fruit carving, dance and a great Children’s Library at Pondok Pekak.
- Travel Indonesia in One day
Taman Nusa opened in July 2013 and while it is a tourist attraction it is also an educational facility to learn about the cultural legacy in Indonesia. It lies on 15 hectares, with 4 hectares being retained for the preservation of the forest. The buildings represent various eras in Indonesian history, from the stone and bronze age, through kingdoms and wars to the present day. There are 59 traditional houses representing the cultural richness of the ethnic groups in Indonesia, some up to 100 years old being transported to the site. Staff from respective ethnic groups act as householders.
You can choose any or all of the above tours. I would suggest a full day at Waterbom and Taman Nusa. It is possible to do 2 other activities in one day.
